Dave Gerry is the Chief Executive Officer of Bugcrowd, the pioneer of crowdsourced cybersecurity. Since taking over as CEO in November 2022, he has led the company through record growth, a $102 million strategic financing round led by General Catalyst, the acquisition of Mayhem Security, and the expansion of the platform into AI-powered and agentic security testing. Bugcrowd today protects over a thousand organizations worldwide, from federal agencies to global enterprises, by connecting them with a trusted community of security researchers.

Prior to Bugcrowd, Dave was Chief Revenue Officer and Head of Global Operations at WhiteHat Security, where he helped lead the company through its acquisition by NTT in 2019 and its subsequent sale to Synopsys in 2022. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at Veracode, Sumo Logic, and The Herjavec Group, giving him nearly 15 years across application security, offensive security, autonomous testing, and crowdsourced security.

Dave was named the New Hampshire Tech Alliance's 2025 Entrepreneur of the Year, and his leadership has been recognized by the CyberScoop 50 Awards, the Cybersecurity Excellence Awards, and Cyber Defense Magazine's Global InfoSec Awards. He serves on the New Hampshire Tech Alliance AI Task Force, the Cybersecurity Advisory Board at Cambridge University, the Industry Advisory Board for Merrimack College's School of Computational Sciences and Engineering, and the Girard School of Business Board of Advisors.

Dave holds an MBA from Suffolk University and a BA from Merrimack College. He lives in southern New Hampshire with his family and their dogs.
